About
Olivia was born and raised on a farm near Newbury, Berkshire. She studied Law, English and Agriculture at Newcastle University, where she achieved a 2:1 BA (Hons) degree in Combined Studies. She then worked as a grain trader with Glencore Grain in Thame, Oxfordshire, where she produced weekly market reports and maintained and updated their website. In 2001 she joined Farmers Weekly as a business reporter, and in 2004 moved to Devon to become the magazine's South-West correspondent. At that point she became freelance and started writing for other publications and offering PR services. She also sits on the Communications Committe for the Royal Bath & West of England Society. Being naturally competitive and adventurous, Olivia has made the most of leisure opportunities, from windsurfing and walking to equine eventing. She is also a keen racing driver, for which she has been sponsored by a leading racing car manufacturer and twice won the ladies' Leaders Hillclimb Championship. In quieter moments she loves food and drink, reading, music, ballet and opera. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
